Prof. Dr. Mojca Zvezdana Dernovšek (MD, MSc, PhD)
She completed her specialization in psychiatry, her postgraduate master's studies in clinical neurophysiology, and her doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ljubljana. She's a full professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ljubljana.
Her professional and scientific research areas are mood disorders, anxiety disorders, the quality of life of people with mental health problems, and the prevention of violent behavior. At the National Institute of Public Health, she participates in implementing the Resolution of the National Mental Health Program - the MIRA Program.
She is the co-author of guidelines for treating bipolar mood disorder and has also developed a program of psychoeducation workshops for people with depression, anxiety disorders, and stress. These workshops are now a regular program in health centers at the primary level and are accessible to all residents of Slovenia. She is a forensic medicine expert in the field of psychiatry.
